Sustainable Transportation was relaunched at the Ayala Center were 20 electric jeepneys having Legaspi Village and Salcedo Village loop routes ply after their franchises was granted by the Land Transportation franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The franchises given to the e-jeepneys were an exemption to the current moratorium on franchises as they promote green transportation. The new franchises are valid for five years and their license plates will be changed to those used by public utility jeepneys.
